Car Seat Safety – It’s Everyone’s Responsibility

Home Hazard Prevention IS NOT a government organization. We are a group of professional. firefighters, located right here in Phoenix. Like the local government, we try to help everyone that we can. One of our favorite offerings is educating people about car seats. Each year thousands of young children are killed or injured in car crashes. One of the most important jobs you have as a parent is keeping your child safe when riding in a vehicle Proper use of car safety seats helps keep children safe. With so many different car safety seats on the market, it’s no wonder parents can find this overwhelming.

The type of seat your child needs depends on several things, including your child’s age and size and the type of vehicle you have. Information is available from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) about choosing the most appropriate car safety seat for your child. ‘Safety Nick’, as he is affectionately known, is the owner and operator of Home Hazard Prevention, LLC (HHP).  As a professional firefighter in the Valley since 2005 with an extensive background in responding to and preventing emergencies, Nick felt that it was time to help the citizens of Maricopa and Pinal Counties learn how to be safe and protect their loved ones in a proactive manner.  In 2012, HHP was launched.  With the support of his wonderful (and understanding!) wife and two beautiful children, Nick works tireless hours, not only to help save your family’s lives, as a firefighter and a community safety expert, but also to be able to spend quality time with his family.  Nick moved to Arizona over 20 years ago and enjoys exploring our great state with his family.
