Last month, we shared tips on staying cool in the brutal Phoenix heat—but the #1 rule? Stay HYDRATED!
Hydration Tips:
✅ Drink water or diluted sports drinks (50% water)
✅ Try Emergen-C or electrolyte packs for balance
✅ Avoid dehydrating drinks: Coffee, tea, & alcohol
✅ Consider a humidifier to retain moisture indoors
✅ Carry a water bottle & sip throughout the day
✅ Toss plastic bottles after 2 days in the car (heat can break them down!)
Warning Signs of Dehydration:
Red cheeks? Feeling thirsty? It’s TOO LATE—hydrate ASAP!
Even a 1% drop in water levels affects you like intoxication!
Heat exhaustion & heat stroke are serious! If you or someone else feels weak, dizzy, or confused, move to AC & call 9-1-1 immediately.
