Monsoon season is here. Or at least it’s supposed to be. This can be a fun time of year, or a painful and expensive time of year. It just depends on how much of your property gets destroyed.
I personally love monsoon season, except when I am at my fire station. That’s mostly due to the fact that people can’t drive in inclement weather in Arizona, so they get stuck in flood waters or in car accidents. But that’s for another letter. Local governments try their best to minimize the damage done, but no one can control Mother Nature and prevent all of the damage. Like it or not, local government tries to help people, but sometimes they get it wrong.
Home Hazard Prevention IS NOT a government organization. But we too try to help everyone that we can. One of our favorite jobs is helping educate people about car seats. One of the most important jobs you have as a parent is keeping your child safe when riding in a vehicle. Each year thousands of young children are killed or injured in car crashes. Proper use of car safety seats helps keep children safe. But with so many different car safety seats on the market, it’s no wonder many parents find this overwhelming.
The type of seat your child needs depends on several things, including your child’s age and size and the type of vehicle you have. Read on for more information from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) about choosing the most appropriate car safety seat for your child. Here is a list of many kinds of car seats, complete with pricing.
Keep in mind, that the best seat is a seat that fits your vehicle, fits your child, is installed properly, and used on every trip.
