👶 Safe Storage is Key! 🔑
✔ Up, Up, and Away! – Store all medicines out of sight and out of reach of children. A locked cabinet or high shelf is best. 🚪🔒
✔ Purse Patrol! – Many accidents happen when kids get into grandma’s purse or mom’s bag. Keep all bags with medicine off the floor and out of reach. 👜🚫
✔ Keep it Original! – Always store medicine in its original, child-resistant container to avoid mix-ups. 🚫⚠
⏰ Safe Use = Safe Kids!
✔ Never Call Medicine “Candy”! 🍬❌ – Even if you’re trying to make medicine time easier, calling it “candy” can encourage kids to seek it out later.
✔ Follow the Label! 📋 – Always give the correct dose, using the measuring device provided (not a kitchen spoon).
✔ Medicine ≠ Sharing – Never share prescriptions, and ensure children only take medicine intended for them. 👦👧
🚮 Safe Disposal Saves Lives!
✔ Unused or Expired? Get Rid of It! – Many pharmacies and police stations offer drug take-back programs. Find a local drop-off site near you! 🏥
✔ Flush or Trash? 🚽🗑 – Some medications are safe to flush, while others should be mixed with coffee grounds or cat litter before tossing in the trash. Check the label!
