May is anther busy month, just like March and April before. May is National Older American Month, National Building Safety Month, National Small Business Week, Military Appreciation Month, and Wildfire Prevention Month. And let’s not forget Mother’s Day!
May- Small Business & Older American Month
Open this great PDF for a printable version of Older Adult Safety. There is some really great information in there. As for all the other topics listed above, why stop at only a single day (or month) to learn more or give thanks. This month, I challenge each of you to spend time helping an older adult with whom you may not know. Spend time with them and learn their stories- you’ll benefit from it guaranteed.
I also challenge you to buy a meal for a Veteran and buy at least 10 things this month from a locally owned business. 71% of monies spent at national chain stores leave AZ, versus only 18% leaving the state for locally owned companies. This helps AZ in many ways, including money for education, roadways, and local public services. And thanking our Veterans, active and retired, is always a great idea. Teach your kids the value of helping others, and once again, we all win!
So “Think Safety, Live Safely, and Shop Locally” this month.
PS, Home Hazard Prevention is locally owned and operated by a firefighter (who is having a baby in June!). So help us out by letting us help you. Call us today for help with CPR, car seats, or child safety.
#ThinkSafetyLiveSafely!
‘Safety Nick’, as he is affectionately known, is the owner and operator of Home Hazard Prevention, LLC (HHP). As a professional firefighter in the Valley since 2005 with an extensive background in responding to and preventing emergencies, Nick felt that it was time to help the citizens of Maricopa and Pinal Counties learn how to be safe and protect their loved ones in a proactive manner. In 2012, HHP was launched.
Be sure to contact Home Hazard Prevention for any of your family or business safety needs. From mobile CPR training to car seat education to infant safety (and much more!) HHP is here to help! There is no one more qualified than a group of professional firefighters to keep your family safe! (480) 448-0266 or [email protected]
