About Safety Nick

Safety Nick, as he is affectionately known, is the owner and operator of Home Hazard Prevention, LLC.  Nick has been a professional firefighter in the South East Valley since 2005.  Over the years, he has acquired a vast knowledge and many resources related to emergency scene management, accident prevention, and personal safety. During the winter and early spring of 2010, he completed in excess of 300 commercial occupancy safety inspections. This hands on experience has made him a leader in commercial and residential safety inspections and accident recognition.  Nick has an AAS in Fire Science Technologies and continues to work towards his Bachelors Degree.

Home Hazard Prevention was launched in the Winter of 2012.  With Nick’s extensive background in responding to and preventing emergencies, he decided that it was time to help the citizens of Maricopa and Pinal Counties learn how to be safe in a proactive manner.  Safety Nick’s unique skill-sets have led the building of HHP to become Fire And Life Safety Experts, initially focusing on Childproofing.  It soon became apparent that he needed to expand into Car Seat Safety and CPR Training as well.

HHP exists to educate and empower individuals and families to prevent and safely respond to emergencies before they arise.

Safety Nick expanded upon his traits that were learned over a decade-plus in the fire service, plus took it upon himself to become the best educated child-safety expert possible.  He has positioned himself as a leader in Car Seat Safety as well as Mobile CPR training.  He accomplished this by taking up great mentors from Safe Kids Maricopa County, the (AZ) Governors Office of Highway Safety, local Hospitals/Staff, and learning the ins, outs, ups and downs of everything child-safety related.  Having no experience in the business world, he has not been shy about asking for help and has been a very vocal (and shameless) self-promoter.  As a member of Network Together, Nick has found a place to learn about the business side of running a business, all while being able to share his safety tips.

Nick has a wonderful (and understanding!) wife and the world’s most beautiful baby girl.  He works tireless hours not only to help save your families lives, both as a firefighter and as a community safety expert, but also to be able to spend quality time with his family.  It seems like a paradox, but the busier that Nick gets, the better he is able to prioritize and budget work vs family life.  Safety Nick might not always have the right answer for everything, but he always gets you the correct answer!

Home Hazard Prevention, LLC has been voted the Top CPR and Child Safety program in Arizona since early 2018.  According to a poll of his Wife and Mother.
